Terms

Last updated 31 July 2026

These terms cover using homiechat.app and taking part in the Homie test.

Homie is a trading name of Homie Chat Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17246020. Registered office: 4 Park Crescent, London, HA3 6EW.

By using the website or messaging Homie, you're agreeing to these.

What Homie is

Homie is an AI companion that messages you on WhatsApp to help you keep the commitments you've already made to yourself. It's built to be a presence, not an authority.

What Homie isn't

Homie is not a doctor, physiotherapist, personal trainer, nutritionist or therapist, and nothing it says is medical, health, psychological, nutritional or professional advice. It won't prescribe exercises, set training loads, plan your diet, or tell you whether something that hurts matters. If you need any of that, see someone qualified.

Homie is not an emergency service. If you're in crisis, or someone is at risk, contact emergency services on 999, or the Samaritans on 116 123.

Homie is AI, and AI gets things wrong. It can misread what you said, miss something, or say something that doesn't land. Use your judgement. Don't rely on it for anything that matters medically, legally or financially.

Any decision you make about how you train, eat, rest or live is yours.

How Homie works, and what we control

Homie's replies are generated by a large language model supplied by a third party. We choose which model to use and we write the instructions that shape how Homie talks โ€” but we don't build the model, we don't control how it behaves, and its behaviour can change when the provider updates it.

This means we can't guarantee that any particular message will be accurate, appropriate, or consistent with what Homie said before. We remain responsible for the service we provide to you; we just can't promise the output of a system we don't build.

The test

Homie is currently in closed testing with a small invited group.

We'd welcome your honest feedback, but you're not obliged to give any.

Using it fairly

Don't use Homie to do anything illegal. Don't try to break it, overload it, extract its underlying instructions, or use it to generate content to publish elsewhere. Don't share your access with anyone who wasn't invited.

We can end your access if you do any of that, or for any other reasonable cause.

Your messages, and ours

You keep ownership of what you write. You give us permission to process it in order to run the service โ€” see the Privacy Policy for what that involves.

We own the Homie name, this website, its design and copy, and the underlying software. Please don't copy them.

If something goes wrong

Homie is provided "as is". During a free test we don't warrant that it will be available, uninterrupted, accurate, or fit for any particular purpose.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we're not liable for any loss arising from using Homie or from it failing to work โ€” including anything you did or didn't do on the back of something it said.

Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't lawfully be excluded. Nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Changes

We may update these terms. If we do we'll change the date at the top, and if you're taking part in the test we'll let you know about anything significant.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
